Mark: "Hey everyone wake up! It's time to watch the sunrise!"
So wake up we did. We put the roll away cot on the balcony and watched the sunrise for an hour. It was a beautiful, memorable experience. Then we went back to sleep for two more hours!

We celebrated Mark's eighth birthday a day early so we wouldn't be travelling. He got his BB gun!

The family bike ride was hilarious. We let Mark steer first because it was his birthday. We screamed in terror for the first few minutes until he figured it out.
Happy Birthday Mark! A perfect day on the beach, McDonald's for dinner, and funnel cakes in the hotel room. It doesn't get much better than this! According to Mark it was the best birthday ever.

We did one of those bikes in San Diego...it is on my facebook profile picture...It was fun - but a lot of work.
Looks like a fun birthday for Mark. We love funnel cakes (the last ones we had were at Knott's Berry Farm in CA last summer - with Boysenberry topping - boysenberries were created at Knott's)
